Holiday Program Volunteer Opportunities

Each fall, Britepaths' Holiday Program seeks community members and organizations to sponsor struggling families who live throughout the Fairfax County area for Thanksgiving and December holiday meals and gifts for their children in December. In our effort to assist 800 individuals and families in need, we need a lot of volunteer support to help make this happen!

Below is a description of our Holiday volunteer needs.

Contact Joanne Walton at or 703.273.8829 if you are interested in learning more about any of these volunteer activities.

  • Our Greatest Need: Sponsor a Family for the Holidays: Our greatest need is for community members to sponsor families! This is such a meaningful family, group or office volunteer opportunity. Sponsors may choose to sponsor individuals or families, select type of assistance to provide and area of the County to serve, or opt to provide a donation that will help us deliver gift cards to a family who we are not able to match with a sponsor. Sponsor a Family or Donate. More information on our Holiday Program page.
  • Office Volunteers: We  need volunteers to come to our office in Fairfax to help us administer the program during our regular office hours, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Must be comfortable using a computer and talking to clients on the phone. Spanish-speaking volunteers are greatly needed. Contact
  • Hang Up Holiday Program Posters: Great for Youth Needing Service Hours! We need volunteers to post information about our Holiday Program in local shops and businesses that have community bulletin boards, and/or give permission for us to post. Note the area you plan to post in the comments. Click Here for details and to sign up.
