What better way to create a living memorial and continue to help those in need than to name Britepaths as a beneficiary in your will? By designating Britepaths as a recipient of even a small part of your estate, you will continue to help those in need.
The following are choices for joining the Lighthouse Society:
Specify either a percentage of assets or specified dollar amount for Britepaths in your will or estate plan. This allocation can come from various assets in your estate, including cash, securities or other investments. Click Here for Sample Language for Various Bequests to Britepaths.
- Charitable Remainder Trust
Through a professionally managed trust, provide income for yourself, your children or spouse, or anyone you designate for a fixed period of time, with the trust assets allocated to Britepaths at the end of the term. Trust payments may be fixed, or based on a fixed-percentage payout.
- Life Insurance Policy or Retirement Plan
To make a gift, simply designate Britepaths as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement plan, including your 401K, 403B, or Individual Retirement Account (IRA). You can designate Britepaths to receive all or a portion of your assets, and you may change your designation at any time should your circumstances change.
- Gifts of stocks, bonds, and other securities
You can support our work without even opening your wallet! A gift of your appreciated stock will bring security and promise to the financial well-being of a struggling family, while offering you a tax advantage. Making a gift of stocks, bonds, or mutual funds is simple and easy, and you receive a two-part benefit of receiving an immediate tax deduction and avoiding capital gains tax. The amount of your gift will be determined by the value on the day it is transferred into Britepaths’ account. Click here for a Stock Donation Form. Please note: You must provide a copy of the "Stock Donation Form" to Britepaths upon making your donation. Failure to do so will result in a delay of processing your donation for acknowledgment and will result in the delay of sending out an acknowledgment letter.
We recommend you consult with a qualified attorney or a professional estate planner for advice on which giving option best fits your particular circumstances.
