Iris Woodard

Iris Woodard, RN, has been a nurse for 50 years. She received her BSN from Hunter College in NYC, and trained as a Nurse Practitioner at University of Kansas. She worked for Kaiser Permanente for 28 years, where she served as Work Force Planning and Development Coordinator for 10 years, and retired in 2017. She found she was bored and went looking for something new to try. This led her to Britepaths and the Avenues to Career Training Healthcare Class, which she began teaching in 2020. She works with clients to customize their career explorations and works with the Workforce Development Director to develop new career training opportunities, including healthcare. She also develops workshop curriculum for workforce development topics. Iris is passionate about helping people grow their careers in the healthcare industry.
