Holiday Program
Help replace Hunger with Holiday Cheer
When schools close for winter break, many Northern Virginia children lose access to free and reduced-price meals they rely on during the school year. Families who are already working hard to make ends meet face added pressure from higher utility bills and holiday expenses. For too many, this time of year brings stress and difficult choices instead of joy.
Britepaths provides comfort and nourishment to local families during the holiday season. With your support, we provide grocery store gift cards so parents can prepare holiday meals, ensuring that children experience the warmth and joy every family deserves.
Ensuring Joy for the Children We Serve
For our 2025 Holiday Program, Britepaths will host our first Winter Wonderland, a festive two-day celebration for our client families. Children will enjoy crafts, activities, and a visit to The Secret Garden at Britepaths book nook, where they can choose free books to take home. Meanwhile, parents will select toys for their kids in our toy shop, where every gift will be wrapped with care by volunteers.
Each child from our client families will receive a $50 grocery store gift card, a small token that makes a significant difference for families facing food insecurity during the winter break. Together, we can replace hunger with hope and help create cherished memories for our neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
