A Sound Investment in a Brighter Future for Local Neighbors and Families
At Britepaths, we understand that you have many choices when selecting a nonprofit to support. We recognize that you want to see your dollars make a positive and measurable impact — both for the families we serve and the communities in which we all live. We strive to do just that. Our work makes an important, tangible difference, helping Northern Virginia families work through a crisis and move from a place of need to true financial self-sufficiency. Your support for our work helps neighbors who are struggling help themselves to brighter futures. Won’t you join us?
Community Impact, FY22
In Fiscal Year 2022 (July 1, 2021- June 30, 2022), Britepaths served 8,993 Northern Virginia households, impacting the lives of 12,425 people in those households.
Building Resilience — Through our Fairfax office and the Financial Empowerment Center at South County, we provide mentoring, coaching and classes that address financial empowerment and employment needs to help individuals and families work toward financial self-sufficiency. These programs served 2,113 people, impacting the lives of 3,371 family members.
Stabilizing Families — Families who come to us in crisis can receive emergency food assistance and/or financial assistance to help with rent, utilities or car repairs. Generous donations and grants helped us stabilize 1,337 families, impacting 3,747 people.
Supports for Children — While our focus is on families, more than half the total clients we serve are children. Our supporters help us provide school supplies and holiday support to children and their families, weekend food packs to students in need at our partner schools, and financial education to local youth. The community came together to assist 6,730 children.
Volunteer Power — Volunteers are vital to our ability to deliver our services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In FY22, 443 volunteers donated 5,192 hours of their time to support our work, at a value of $238,615.
