In Fiscal Year 2023 (July 1, 2022- June 30, 2023), Britepaths served 7,999 Northern Virginia households, impacting the lives of 11,555 people in those households.

Stabilizing Families: Individuals and families turn to Britepaths in crisis can receive emergency food assistance and/or financial assistance to help with rent, utilities or car repairs. Generous donations and grants helped us stabilize 935 families, impacting 2,683 people.

Personal Empowerment: Through our Financial Empowerment and Workforce Development programs, we provide mentoring, coaching and classes that address financial empowerment and employment needs to help individuals and families work toward financial self-sufficiency. These programs served 2,761 people.

Supports for Children: While our focus is on families, more than half the total clients we serve are children. Our supporters help us provide school supplies and holiday support to children and their families, weekend food packs to students in need at our partner schools, and financial education to local youth. The community came together to assist 5,140 children.

Volunteer Power: Volunteers are vital to our ability to deliver our services in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In FY23, 473 volunteers donated 5,583 hours of their time to support our work, at a value of $191,032.

Your Dollars At Work

  • $100 provides school supplies for 10 students
  • $500 provides food for 5 families in need of emergency food support
  • $1,000 provides matched savings seed money for 2 clients working with financial mentors
  • $2,500 provides grocery deliveries to 30 families
  • $5,000 provides assistance for 13 people who need car repairs so they can get to work
  • $10,000 provides financial assistance to 34 families to pay rent or utilities
