Food Security
Britepaths' Food Security Programs provide emergency and short-term food assistance to Northern Virginia area residents to help them bridge the gap while they recover from a financial crisis and work toward self-sufficiency.
We are committed to alleviating food insecurity in our community through targeted programs that provide access to fresh, nutritious options.
Emergency Food Support
Our Emergency Food Support program provides
one-time per fiscal year assistance in the form of a
$400 grocery gift card to individuals and families in need. Clients who can pick up their gift card in person also have the option to receive a package of personal hygiene and household essentials from our Emergency Pantry. For those unable to pick up their gift card, we mail it directly to them.
BriteHarvest
BriteHarvest (formerly Our Daily Veggies) is our farmers market voucher program that increases access to fresh produce and protein while supporting local farms and vendors. It is a vital supplement to our Emergency Food Support and pantry assistance, ensuring families have access to both household and grocery essentials along with fresh, healthy food.
- We partner with Fairfax Farmers Markets and, beginning in Summer 2025, the EatLoco Dulles Market to provide vouchers for fresh food.
- Clients receive two sets of five $10 vouchers per season (totaling $100), which can be used to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins from participating vendors.

"Thank you for meeting with me...and giving me the supplies as well as giant store gift-cards.
This helps me to free up some resources and pay my outstanding medical bills. I am beyond grateful for the aid in such a tough time."
– K.G.,
Food Support & Financial Empowerment client.
