With 1 in 12 Northern Virginia residents facing food insecurity and 35% of Fairfax County households with children affected, this time of year as families face increasing expenses and more difficult choices, the threat of food insecurity can become all too real.
You can help ensure a season of joy for the children we serve.

What does the holiday season mean for you?
For many, it is a time of joy and celebration. For the families Britepath serves, it can mean making heartbreaking choices as children who rely on free and reduced-price meals at school prepare for long winter breaks. In wealthy Northern Virginia, 35,800 children experience food insecurity.
This year, our Holiday Program is dedicated to brightening the season for at least 340 children, 18 and under, living at home. Each child will receive a $50 Walmart gift card to support their family during the 2-week school winter break.
