Dorothy Altmiller

Dorothy joined Britepaths in December of 2020 as Development Associate. As a key member of the Development team, she manages Britepaths’ donor records and uses data analysis to help shape fundraising strategy. Dorothy also plays a role in event planning and oversees Britepaths’ participation in Virginia’s Neighborhood Assistance Program.

After graduate school, Dorothy worked in book publishing, attaining the position of managing editor at Brassey’s Inc., where she directed the production of works of military history, international politics, and sports. After time out to start a family, she worked as a paralegal for an intellectual property law firm, helping to prepare and file patent applications in molecular biology and electromechanical systems, and also served a season in Fairfax County’s Office of Elections, processing absentee ballots.

She lives in Herndon, Virginia, with her husband and young-adult kids.
