Aldo Simone serves as Grants Manager at Britepaths, where he collaborates with the Executive Director and the Senior Director of Development and Communication to advance grant revenue goals and strategies. In this role, he stewards the existing grant portfolio whilst cultivating new opportunities and working with program leads to achieve organizational objectives.

Before joining Britepaths, Aldo served as program manager at WildAid, where he managed conservation initiatives focused on marine protected areas with global reach. His career reflects a deliberate pivot from the Italian Navy, where he attained the rank of commander, towards social impact and conservation work. Driven by a commitment to address pressing societal and environmental challenges, Aldo has dedicated himself to serving his communities in meaningful ways.

Aldo holds a master’s degree in international studies from the University of Venice. He’s based in Rockville, Maryland, where he lives with his wife, stepson, and two cats, and continues to pursue volunteer work aligned with his passion for social impact and the environment.
