Food Security

Britepaths' Food Security Programs provide emergency and short-term food assistance to Northern Virginia residents, helping them bridge the gap while recovering from a financial crisis and working toward self-sufficiency. We are committed to alleviating food insecurity in our community through targeted programs that provide access to healthy nutrition options and essential household supplies.

Emergency Food Support

Britepaths' Emergency Food Support program provides one-time assistance per fiscal year in the form of a $400 grocery gift card to individuals and families in need. Clients who pick up their gift card in person may also choose to receive a package of personal hygiene and household essentials from our SNAP Gap Pantry. For those unable to visit in person, we mail the gift card directly to them.

SNAP Gap Pantry

The Pantry provides essential household and personal care items not covered by SNAP benefits, including:

  • Menstrual hygiene products
  • Infant care supplies
  • Pet food
  • Personal hygiene and household essentials

We also carry a limited selection of shelf-stable groceries when available. Setting an appointment is recommended to ensure we can provide the supplies requested. Individuals interested in receiving these items may contact us below or visit 3959 Pender Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030.

BriteHarvest

BriteHarvest is Britepaths’ farmers market voucher program that expands access to fresh produce and proteins while supporting local farms and vendors. It serves as a vital complement to our Emergency Food Support and Pantry assistance, ensuring families can access both grocery essentials and fresh, healthy ingredients.

We partner with Fairfax Farmers Markets and the EatLoco Dulles Market to provide $100 in vouchers per season. Clients may use these vouchers to purchase fresh fruits, vegetables, and proteins from participating vendors.

"Thank you for meeting with me...and giving me the supplies as well as Giant store gift cards.
This helps me to free up some resources and pay my outstanding medical bills. I am beyond grateful for the aid in such a tough time."
