Be On the Front Line in Addressing Food Insecurity in Our Community

Thanks to the hard work and good will of our friends in the community, Britepaths is able to provide a steady supply of food assistance to Fairfax County area families who are working through a crisis. Many people in our own backyard fall on hard times financially and struggle to afford basic necessities on their limited incomes. Our Food Bridge Program allows us to offer some relief.

Our Food Bridge Supporting Organizations make a real difference for our families by committing to one or more Sundays on our Delivery Calendar throughout the year. They collect funds or grocery store gift cards to supplement the families' food supply for two weeks and mail them to 30 families on the Sunday they have pledged, or Britepaths can mail them on an organization's behalf. Grocery store gift cards allow our families to purchase fresh, healthy food that meets their dietary requirements. Groups interested in helping families in this manner can either collect/purchase and send the grocery cards or donate through our Food Bridge donation page and we will purchase the cards at a bulk discount and mail them to our clients (type "Food Bridge" in the donor comments).
