Dorothy Altmiller

Dorothy joined Britepaths in December 2020 as a Development Associate and now serves as Donor Relations Manager. As a key member of the Development team, she maintains Britepaths’ donor records and uses data analysis to help shape fundraising strategy. Dorothy also plays a role in event planning and oversees Britepaths’ participation in Virginia’s Neighborhood Assistance Program.

After graduate school Dorothy worked in book publishing, attaining the position of managing editor at Brassey’s Inc., where she directed the production of works of military history, international politics, and sports. After time out to start a family, she worked as a paralegal for an intellectual property law firm, and later served a season in Fairfax County’s Office of Elections, processing absentee ballots.

Dorothy remains keenly interested in history and the environment. She lives in Springfield, VA.
