I Think I’ve Made It! Lilian’s Story
Lilian was raising two young girls on her own and struggling financially after her divorce when she came to Britepaths. Working with Britepaths’ staff and her Financial Mentor Claudia, and receiving supports from our programs as needed, she was able to become financially stable and work toward self-sufficiency.
Now remarried and in a better place, she says, “I believe now in myself. I know that I can do it….I think I’ve made it. And I’ve made it thanks to Britepaths. As a single mom, I don’t know what I would have done without Britepaths….You can’t imagine how much they helped me to survive.”
Lilian shared her story with us in honor of Britepaths’ 35th Anniversary, and this video premiered at Artful Living: Thrive on May 2, 2019. The event was a juried Art Show, Sale and celebration to support Britepaths’ continued work to help local families like Lilian’s help themselves to better futures.
