Financial Empowerment Volunteers
Britepaths’ Financial Empowerment Program and our work at the Financial Empowerment Center at South County (FECSoCo) are possible because of the dedication of our volunteers! Volunteer positions include Financial Mentors, who work one-on-one with clients for six months or more, Financial Empowerment Class Instructors and Financial Coaches. We provide our one-on-one client services virtually and our classes are offered virtually or in-person at a community partner’s location.
Britepaths provides training, support and all the tools volunteers need to help individuals and families in Northern Virginia better manage their finances and achieve and maintain self-sufficiency.
Our Current Volunteer Needs Include:
- Spanish-speaking volunteers to teach personal finance classes, provide one-on-one financial coaching and mentorship to our clients
- Certified Financial Planners® or Accredited Financial Counselors® for our financial mentoring program

Note: We hold virtual group trainings 3-4 times per year. We will also provide one-on-one volunteer training if you speak Spanish and are ready to volunteer, or you hold a CFP®or AFC® accreditation. You must have a solid financial background and strong interest in teaching financial education either in a group or is to learn more about our Financial Empowerment volunteer opportunities.
