Stuff the Bus Food Drive Volunteers

Britepaths is partnering with Fairfax County to hold our winter Stuff the Bus Food Drive on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at Walmart in Fairfax City, 11181 Lee Hwy, Fairfax 22030. The food drive is from 10 am to 3 pm, and we will unload the donations at our office nearby from 3-4 pm.

Participants in Shift 1 (10 AM – 1:15 PM) and Shift 2 (1 PM – 3 PM) will volunteer at Walmart to hand out donation fliers to shoppers, collect donations, and periodically bring donations to the Fastran Bus in the parking lot.

Participants in Shift 3 will meet us at Britpaths’ office building to help unload the donations and bring them up to our Pantry from 3 PM to 4 PM. Our office is located near Walmart at 3959 Pender Dr., Suite 200, Fairfax VA 22030.

Volunteers in Shift 2 who can drive to the office and help unload, should also sign up for Shift 3. Anyone is welcome to sign up to meet us at Britepaths for Shift 3, even if they haven’t volunteered at Walmart during the day.

This project is physical and requires some heavy lifting. Teens welcome. Children under the age of 14 should volunteer with an adult. Not recommended for children under age 10. Each shift must have at least one person aged 18 or older.

We are asking that you enter a phone number where you may be contacted that day. This is in case we need to contact you because something has changed about the project. Your email and phone number are not visible on the sign-up sheet, and we will not contact you by phone unless absolutely necessary because of the project.
