Stuff the Bus Food Drive Volunteers

Britepaths is partnering with Fairfax County to hold our Stuff the Bus Food Drive on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Walmart in Fairfax City, 11181 Lee Hwy, Fairfax, 22030. The food drive is from 9:45am to 3pm, and we will unload the donations at our office nearby from 3-4 pm.

Participants in Shift 1 (9:45 am–12:30 pm) and Shift 2 (12:15 pm–3 pm) will volunteer at Walmart to hand out donation fliers to shoppers, collect donations, and periodically bring donations to the Fastran Bus in the parking lot.

Participants in Shift 3 will meet us at the front of Britpaths’ office building to help unload the donations and bring them up to our SNAP Gap Pantry from 3-4 pm. Our office is located near Walmart at 3959 Pender Dr., Suite 200, Fairfax, VA 22030.

Volunteers in Shift 2 who can drive to the office and help unload should also sign up for Shift 3. Anyone is welcome to sign up to meet us at Britepaths for Shift 3, even if they haven’t volunteered at Walmart during the day.

This project is physical and requires some heavy lifting. Teens welcome. Anyone under the age of 18 should volunteer with an adult. Not recommended for children under age 10.

We kindly request that you provide a phone number where we can reach you that day. We require a phone number in case we need to contact you because something has changed about the project. Your email and phone number are not visible on the sign-up sheet. We will not contact you by phone unless absolutely necessary due to the project.
