One of our incredible Financial Empowerment Volunteers, Erica James, CPA, CFP®, was featured in the February 2025 issue of Kiplinger’s Personal Finance. Erica has volunteered with Britepaths since 2018, offering her expertise to help clients strengthen their financial foundations and achieve long-term stability. Through her pro bono service, she provided guidance on budgeting, debt management, savings, and goal-setting, empowering individuals and families to make informed financial decisions.

In the article, titled “Empowering Families with Financial Planning,” Erica discussed the importance of expanding access to financial planning services beyond high-net-worth clients. She shared how pro bono financial advising can make a meaningful difference for individuals at all income levels by equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to manage their finances effectively.
