Volunteer Sarah “Baker and other volunteers teach about money management and budgeting, the U.S. banking system, taxes and building credit. Since 2017, Britepaths has provided training to more than 1,500 MRS newcomers. Sometimes MRS staffers translate for non-English speaking clients, essentially facilitating trainings in Pashto, Dari, Spanish and Ukrainian.”

Britepaths is grateful for our partnership with Catholic Charities Diocese of Arlington to help newcomers better understand and navigate the U.S. financial system as they get established in their new homes. Thanks to the Arlington Catholic Herald for highlighting this meaningful work, and to CCDA and our wonderful volunteers like Sarah and Steve Carrion, who are highlighted here, for making this possible.

Britepaths provides our Financial Empowerment services through the Financial Empowerment Center at South County in partnership with United Way of the National Capital Area and Fairfax County. Grantor Foundation for Financial Planning provides significant support for our financial coaching and mentoring, and also connects us with Certified Financial Planners like Sarah Baker who are interesting in volunteering.
