FAIRFAX, VA (April 5, 2023) – Fairfax-based nonprofit Britepaths invites the community to attend a special evening of art, wine and philanthropy to provide vital assistance to the Northern Virginia families it serves. Britepaths’ programs stabilize families, foster personal empowerment and offer supports to children whose families are experiencing financial difficulties.

“Artful Living” will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., at the Country Club of Fairfax (5110 Ox Road, Fairfax, VA 22030). Limited tickets are also available for a special VIP Reception from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The theme of the event and art show is “Forward.” The evening will include a juried art show featuring 40 works by 27 area artists that will be available for sale through a silent auction, live music from local band World’s End Jazz, appetizers, wine and beer, and desserts from Nothing Bundt Cakes and My Alfajor. Attendees will also enjoy a silent auction, games and a photo booth. A live charity auction will offer items including: vacation rentals; experience packages; and more. A special guest speaker will also share stories of the strength and success of Britepaths’ clients.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Britepaths’ programs to provide financial education, coaching and mentoring, job readiness supports and training, emergency food, financial aid and seasonal assistance to families throughout the area who are working to improve their finances and obtain better-paying jobs so their families can thrive.

General Admission is $100. VIP tickets are $150 and may sell out before the event. Tickets may be purchased at britepaths.org or at the event. Contact 703.273.8829 or events@britepaths.org for more information.

Britepaths’ Executive Director Lisa Whetzel said, “This year’s theme is Forward, reflecting Britepaths’ work to help our clients keep moving ahead and make ongoing progress on their journey to self-sufficiency and success. Our community’s support will make a difference for those in immediate need, while investing in the long-term wellbeing of our neighbors.

“Attendees will also be helping to enrich the vibrant Northern Virginia arts community, as Artful Living is a juried art show and sale that not only benefits Britepaths clients and programs but also the artists themselves,” Whetzel added. “We hope everyone will join us for this delightful evening that does so much good.”
