Martha Borowski, AFC®
Financial Empowerment Program Manager
Martha Borowski joined Britepaths’ staff in January 2018 and serves as Financial Empowerment Program Manager for Britepaths and the Financial Empowerment Center at South County. Prior to joining as a staff member, she served as a financial literacy volunteer. Martha’s primary role is to provide training to new financial literacy volunteers and continual training and support to current volunteers, assist with building community partnerships to expand the one-on-one financial coaching and mentoring programs, create financial literacy classes, and support clients as they work towards achieving financial stability. Martha holds an MBA from Long Island University and is nationally certified as an Accredited Financial Counselor. Her professional experiences include: 15 years as a full-time Lecturer with Troy University; teaching adult personal finance classes with Fairfax County Public School’s ACE program; continuing education program coordinator for Troy University; and site director for Mount Saint Mary College. She has a passion for working with people and assisting them in becoming financially stable. Martha is a military spouse whose husband retired from the Army after 27 years of service. She was awarded the Dr. Mary E Walker Distinguished Service Award and the Outstanding Civilian Service Award for her volunteerism as a military spouse. She enjoys giving back to the community, working with military service members and our veterans.
