SNAP Gap Pantry Support Volunteer

Britepaths is seeking a volunteer to assist our Emergency Food Support and SNAP Gap Pantry programs. This volunteer will help prepare hygiene and household items bags for client pick-ups and support pantry operations that make a direct difference for families in our community. Training will be provided.

Time Commitment: Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:00am-2:00pm

Location: Britepaths Office, 3959 Pender Drive, Suite 200, Fairfax, VA, 22030

Responsibilities:

  • Packing pantry bags according to program guidelines
  • Weighing and recording bag weights
  • Organizing pantry items and keeping the space tidy
  • Preparing items for scheduled client pick-ups
  • Assisting staff with general pantry tasks as needed

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to life up to 15-20 lbs
  • Comfortable working in an office environment
  • Attention to detail
  • Be reliable and can work independently
