Britepaths was honored to be named Non-Profit of the Year by the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce at the Greater Washington Good Business Awards on June 7, 2019. Read the Fairfax Connection article.
Executive Director Lisa Whetzel accepted the award for Britepaths. She said, “We were humbled to be in the impressive pool of non-profit nominees, and are so honored to have been named Non-Profit of the Year. This award is a testament to the fantastic work of Britepaths’ staff and board, and to our community who support our work.”
Britepaths is in its 35th year of providing help and hope to struggling residents in the Fairfax County area and helping them Thrive. We provide Resilience programs, including financial literacy and workforce development services at Britepaths and the Financial Empowerment Center at South County that help our clients plan for their financial future and obtain better jobs. Our Stability services, emergency and short-term food assistance and financial assistance grants, help families stay in their homes while they work through a crisis.
