Our staff at the FEC at South County cannot do it alone! We need the support of volunteers and community partners to provide vital services to our clients that will help them pursue financial self-sufficiency, personal finance goals and better career opportunities. Below are some of our on-going volunteer needs.

Britepaths is seeking volunteer Financial Coaches who will help adult individuals tackle a pressing financial problem. Volunteers will provide a one-time, one-on-one, 45-minute session to help clients examine their immediate financial situation, review client’s credit report, and help them create a course of action to address concerns. Daytime, evening and Saturday shifts available. There are sometimes opportunities to provide on-going counseling with the same client. The Financial Empowerment Center is seeking a few self-motivated community members with good organizational skills and ability to volunteer on weekdays to serve as Volunteer Office Assistants. Main duties will consist of data entry, answering phones and miscellaneous administrative projects at the FEC, supporting the organization’s mission of providing financial education services to individuals and families. Flexible/Group Volunteer Project: Community Ambassador
Under the supervision of the Manager of the FEC at South County, serve as volunteer community ambassador for the FEC. These volunteers will distribute information about the FEC to community members through community events, Farmers Markets, school events, area canvassing and other events.
