Britepaths' Food Bridge Program helps "bridge the gap" for our Fairfax County area neighbors during a time of crisis.
The Food Bridge includes donations of grocery store gift cards as well items for our pantry. By donating to Britepaths on this page, you will provide us funds to purchase grocery gift cards at a bulk discount rate to distribute to our Food Bridge clients.
Families are referred to the Program by social workers, and generally receive assistance for approximately four to six months. Other clients may receive emergency assistance once or twice to get them through a brief crisis. Other Food Bridge initiatives include Our Daily Veggies farmers market vouchers and Food4Thought weekend food assistance for local students in need.
The Food Bridge Program utilizes donations of grocery store gift cards as well non-perishable food and supplies for our pantry. Gift cards allow our clients to meet the specific dietary needs of their families, which may include managing food allergies. The cards also allow parents to make good nutritional choices for their children that include fruits, vegetables and dairy items we can't store in our pantry or easily deliver. The gift cards also allow our clients to practice newly acquired financial management skills in getting the most out of every dollar they spend for food.

Workplace Giving – Does your employer match your charitable gifts? If so, you could double, even triple your gift to Britepaths! Contact your employer’s HR department to see if you can have your gift matched and to learn how to make it happen. Don't forget about the CFC Campaign or the United Way Campaign! If your employer participates in either of these campaigns, consider designating Britepaths. (CFC #82471 and United Way #9661)
