The Fairfax Food Council is a coalition of citizens and organizations that advocate and promote food system and policy changes benefiting Fairfax communities, especially underserved communities. The FFC was established by the Partnership for a Healthier Fairfax in 2015 and is composed of three working groups: food access, urban agriculture (formerly community gardens) and food literacy.

The Board of Directors and Staff of Britepaths believe that everyone in our community should have access to fresh, healthy food, and we have long been working to incorporate healthy food into our Food Bridge Program. Britepaths is a founding member of the FFC, and Christina Garris is currently the Chair of the FFC. Catherine Read is a member of Britepaths’ Board of Directors and owner/principal of Fairfax-based social media firm Creative Read Inc.

The Fairfax Food Council welcomes all community members to get involved in its work. Click Here to Learn More
